Duane Lewis has been committed to excellence in basketball for over 50 years. As a fellow player, a coach, and a shooting instructor, Duane has dedicated countless hours to improving his teammates', teams', and campers' skills, as well as their respect for the game.
Three of Coach Lewis' players earned All-American status, and dozens more were All-State and All-Conference honorees. Named Colorado Coach of the Year, Duane has guided his teams to 10 Colorado State Tournaments, instilling in each of them the importance of playing with dignity, pride, and humility. Furthermore, in addition to serving repeat years as the President of the Colorado Basketball Coaches Association, Duane crafted the Association's new constitution and was presented the highest honor for a Colorado basketball coach, the Tom Sutak Award.
Coach Lewis has led successful basketball-shooting camps throughout the United States and around the world for twenty five years. Known for his keen eye and quick thinking, Coach Lewis has the ability to diagnose a player's shot quickly and accurately. An outgrowth of his original endeavors (Shot Doctor Basketball, International and Denver Shot Doctor Camps), today's Global Shot Doctor Camps continue Duane's long tradition of sharpening the basketball-shooting skills of players of all ages and abilities.
New Innovations by "The Doc"
Duane has always been an innovator. Never afraid to try something new, Coach Lewis has taken important steps over the past year to raise the quality of basketball across the USA. Currently, Duane is directing several major developments:

- And, most excitingly, Duane's dream for the past ten years: an Internet-based, overnight shooting-evaluation program ( the "Internet Shooting Coach").
